Recrystallisation
In this annealing process, which is carried out to regulate the changing microstructure of cold-treated metals, the material is brought to the temperature where recrystallisation will occur and kept there for a while. The material, which becomes more rigid but brittle after plastic deformation, is repaired with the help of temperature in this region and provides the formation of a more homogeneous microstructure. While the hardness and strength of the materials coming out of this process decreases, their ductility increases. It is of great importance to perform recrystallisation process after plastic deformation in order to prevent damage to the material.
